Chuck has knocked out a lot of top name guys and guys with all different styles and reputations around the world who are known for their skills and experience. This fight just happened to be the luck of the timing..not taking anything away from rashad..but lets be honest here..who would of thought one of those big wild overhand rights of rashad would be thrown as soon as chuck goes to throw a uppercut? ..which is why it will never happen again..and why its never happened before this.. but hats off to rashad..anything can happen in a fight and it did..but i do not think chuck is done at ALL..and he will be back

Lets just face the facts, as in any other sport as you get older you get slower - including the physcial and mental game. I'm sure a chuck 5 years ago wouldve been alot more competitive in these kinda fights. I think he should have one more fight (maybe an evans rematch) and do his best to come out a winner, then its his time to retire. Is he expecting to fight into his 40s? Come on.

It's sad. People were calling Rampage lucky after he KO'd Chuck.All you heard from them was that the punch was ""lucky"". Know Chuck get's KO'd again, this time by Evans and the same people are calling it a lucky punch. Get real! Chuck's been over hyped for a long time. All you Chuck fans just bought into the hype. Chuck's never really been ""that"" good. Chuck can't beat technical strikers. And if Wandy wasn't so wild with his looping punches, he would've beat Chuck too. Sorry your feelings are hurt guys. First of all Chuck's time is not passed. A striker will always have what they call a punchers chance. He got caught fair and square b/c he doesn't keep his left hand up. Twice it has bit him in the ass now. Rashad is nothing more than a scrub though. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then. If you watch the video in slow motion you see rashads head is down. That's called a haymaker...not an overhand right. There is also nothing honorable about dancing around for one and a half rounds and landing one solid punch. He cut chuck with a glancing blow that didn't do anything so that punch is irrelevant. In pride Rashad would have had 10% of his purse taken away for stalling. Let them fight 10 times and see who wins more. Chuck can get KO'd and Rampages KO was not luck. He is a skilled fighter, but the stars must have aligned for rashad that night b/c Liddell is way more skilled and tough of a fighter. I mean come on. Ortiz beat him and then had a point taken away for holding the fence

That fight was not impressive for either fighter. Evans was evading most of the time and Liddell, once again, has too much faith in his ability to take a hit...keep your hands up. I'm not impressed by Evans either. His match with Forest should be good, but he'll lose.

not to say anything bad about either fighter they are both good at what they do but rashad was extremely cautious the first round and should have lost the round for that reason. he came back the second round and started firing on chuck and to say that it was lucky is just plain bullshit that punch was right on the money and chuck got faded. i like chuck and i hope he is not done but face the facts people he has been faded twice now and neither were luck. he is just fighting tougher guys that know how to fight. so he has to step it up or bow out while he still can.

i totally agree chuck got my attention to the ufc and loved him ever since he is a legend or will be when he is retired and chuck made the sport how it is today. well i will always back chuck up he still is probably my favorite and i read some of the comments below and we all have opinions and i honestly say it was a lucky shot cuz evans was swinging for shits and giggles so if he didnt step in for the upper cut right evans would have got knocked out for sure.

all will go down sooner or later, but rashad did run the whole fight, never did get into it with chuck, but rashad did knock hil out with no doudbt. If the game plan was to frustrate him and not engage in mixing it up, then rashad suceede, but that does not make a great fighter, just someone who was told what do do by the people outside the ring. Yeah, Chuck got beat by the better fighter. Let's face it, Chuck has always been a one dimensional fighter. He was unstoppable for a while because that one dimension was so quick and powerful that no one could find a way to avoid being knocked out. Rashad was quicker and landed that overhand right b4 Chuck could land his upper cut. Three years ago, Chucks uppercut would've landed first and Evans would've been the one on the mat unconcious. Strikers usually lose their skills faster than grapplers and wrestlers. Chuck is 38. He's not nearly as quick and elusive as he was even 2-3 years ago.

who do you think is the stronger fighter honestly? evans is looking better and better every fight but i still will give it to forrest because he has a solid chin and he has a huge heart no matter how bad he gets hurt or bad the pain he keeps going. his last fight against rampage surprised me i didnt think he would win because of rampages power but even after being rattled a few good times he came back with a win.

Rashaad is no Joke he Fought a great fight. If you ever noticed Chuck knocked people out when they attacked him. Both Guys are very good wrestlers and so it would have been futile to attempt takedowns. Rashaad was impossible to take down in college and when was the last time you saw Chuck Get taken down (hence why he always beat Tito). Rashaad is younger, Quicker, and stronger. It was not a lucky punch he had landed 3 or 4 hooks prior to that. Also For the announcer to say that Chuck's upper cut was close is wrong it was about a foot off the mark. Rashaad had great head movement all fight. If Kimbo Slice ever fought a good wrestler he would get smashed with the great takedown defense he showed in last fight.

After this they should have a light heavy weight tournament that last a year with Wandy, Rashaad, Forrest, Rampage, Shogun, Thiago, Chuck, Tito, Machida, Franklin, Anderson Silva, jardine, Bonnar, Vera, Henderson, & Bring Cantwell or Stann up from WEC for the 16th person. 12 PPV's a year. Jan Four 1st round fights, Feb 4 1st round fights, May 2 quarterfinal Fight, June two quarterfinal fights, Sept. 2 Semi Final Fights, Dec Championship fight. Year long thing.

I like chuck but lets face it time has caught up with him. that and the fact that Evans was using lateral movement and timing his shots made for a rough night for him.Chuck has never had spectacular boxing skills.Evans boxing skills are just better as you could see when he kept switching stances just to throw chuck off his game. My personal opinion is that Chuck should retire. There is no shame in a fighter calling it quits when he has already proven himself a warrior time and again.

As you can plainly see in the replay, Evans set up that knockout punch with two fake jabs(left) then finished it with a connection(right). He wasn't just swinging at shits and giggles. I also am a fan of the Iceman, but Evans did exactly what he intended to. Hey, it happens sometimes. :)

First let me give a congrats to Evans for a solid win. Anyone who steps in the octagon w Chuck has my respect. But one lucky roundhouse right and you fools are talkin ""Chuck's done!"". What a kook-fest. Every single light heavy weight in the UFC has knock out power. I could knock out Chuck with a clean punch like that. I give Evans credit for hooking it up, but it wasn't a show of skill... Same thing with Rampage... In this game you have to lose or you're not challenging yourself hard enough. I agree Chuck is losing a little of his edge, but he's still the man and he will get better from this loss.

i have to say this was a little dissappointing first round untill the end but i beleive chuck won it second round was a bit more exciting and i did not see the knockout comming i have to say good job evans and i do not agree that it was a lucky hit evans did the smart thing he kept his distance and didnt get excited unlike most of the other people whose fought chuck he waited for the right opprotunity and struck but that is my two cents hate it or like it

That was no lucky shot, Evans is just too fast for chuck. If you pay attention you can see that Chuck moves like a slug and goes for bug punches and Evans has good fast footwork and uses the jab more.

Did you listen at the start of the fight when it said Rashad was a BOXER? What he was doing was boxing. He knew it would be a bad idea to go toe to toe with Chuck so he moved around and tried to wear him down with jabs, but chuck made a mistake when he threw that huge uppercut. Also I don't think Chuck is that skilled, he seems to just walk forward and try to do big punches and it doesn't seem to work against a fast opponent like Evans.

you could tell that punch was in the gameplan. evans standup has always been mediocre at best and now he finally drops someone with a punch. evans lost the first round and was about even in the second. evans camp knew liddel always keeps his hands down and took advantage of it. honestly i dont see how evans could of won with a different gameplan.

Liddell is good. Was good. His time has gone. He's still one of my favorite fighters, but I think he should get out of the way of the new younger fighters. He's on his way to the hall of fame anyway so he should bow down and accept the fact that he's not as good as he once was. He has a career hightlight reel of knocking people out and he should leave on that.

Frankly, I amazed it took this long foe Chuck to get his block knocked off! He is a terrible boxer...look at his hands. He keeps his left way outside and his right hand way too low. When he throws a punch he leaves himself wideopen for a counterpunch. It is the worst display of ""boxing"" I have ever seen! I teach boxing and I have my fighters watch Chuck Lidell and show them how NOT to fight.

Liddell is a one dimensional fighter. He can punch really hard - that's his game. Evans has about 20 - 30 IQ points on knuckleheads like Chuck, not to mention even MORE power in his punches. Liddell was outclassed, that's that. Ive been looking over these fights to help decide where to put my money on the Evans-Machida fight. The bookies favor Machida. So if you want to make some scratch put your money on Evans. Machida is obviously the best counter striker, and the most artful and intelligent fighter in his division but there is no way he can knock out Evans. The reverse is not true, Evans is as strong as they come at his weight - he's got all the power of Rampage and Liddell but even more athleticism and speed. Also, his wrestling game is equal to Machida. The power advantage will translate into a victory for Evans. Watch and see. He's not going to dance around Machida for 5 rounds taking Machida's straight lefts. If he runs into problems standing up he's going to take it to the ground and smother Machida with his vastly superior strength. You'll see. Bet and make some cash yo.
