GSP will prob. beat Penn(approximately 70% chance) but GSP will not be able to touch Anderson Silva if GSP goes up to 185 to fight silva. And even if Silva goes down to GSP's 170 lb weight class silva will still win because Silva has (experience in the 170lb division) kicked his fair share of ass in the 170lb division earlier in his career. GSP and silva prob. won't fight anyway I was just responding to a previous comment that suggested silva and GSP would fight.

The question of whom is the preimier pound for pund fighter in the world can't be answered 'til we see the actual fight. You don't really give enough of an analysis to put up a proper argument. Both of them are amazing and has more or less run over their opponents lately. Both of them are better than they've ever been. If you wanna talk statistics, historically anderson silva has three proper defeats and one DQ, st. pierre only has two defeats. One he revenged, and one of them a fluke. It's a very hard fight to call. St. pierre sort of has a weak chin, but he's gonna outwrestle silva easily. As for BJ Penn, he's already beaten him, and he's only gotten better. Plus BJ is too small for that wheightclass. His stamina is never sufficient. It wasn't for their last three round fight, and certainly won't be for a five round fight.

IF GSP and Anderson Silva were to fight, the most likely scenario weight-wise would Be GSP going up to 185 or the more likely scenario if possible would be GSP and Silva fighting in between the two weight classes which would mean they would fight at around 177.5lbs so there wouldn't be an extreme weight shift for either. (Very unlikey-Silva could go down to 170lbs but wouldn't because he would lose 15lbs that he would have to gain back and he would be way too thin to fight at 170lbs seeing as he is 6'2 compared to GSP's 5'10 frame.) Besides, Silva is not the one who needs to prove himself since he already has the title of the best pound for pound fighter in the world so he does not have as much to gain as GSP in a fight between the two so he has the upper hand in the aspect of fight conditions (bargaining on things such as weight of fighters, 3round or championship fight etc.) so would not agree to something dumb like having to drop 15lbs to fight GSP.

greg jackson creates best game plans in mma to beat everyone and gsp is best mma fighter to follow whatever it is because he is most mixed martial artist . with good game/fightplan he could beat anderson silva
